Our Product Management, Design and UX and Data Science teams look at our product development from every angle to ensure we keep one step ahead of our consumer and business customers’ needs,. From tackling usability, to new ticketing technologies, they also manage internal projects as well as projects for our clients.
Our Marketing team does an inspired job when it comes to letting our customers know what we’re up to. They understand their behaviours and then look to showcase our brand through memorable and targeted offline and online marketing, CRM and brand partnership development.

Trainline for Business is the market leader in the £2b+ UK business rail market offering a suite of products that help businesses of all sizes plan, book and manage their rail travel more effectively. We serve customers of all sizes from SME’s to some of the UK’s largest and most recognizable companies. Our fast-growing, entrepreneurial team covers business development, account management, strategy, product and marketing.
Our New Business team believes that there is an opportunity to create a vastly improved experience for customers looking to purchase adjacent products to rail including coach, car hire, hotels and insurance, through clear product proposition and partnership development. Creating Smarter Journeys is core to this team’s DNA.
Nothing makes us happier than wowing our customers. So we try to do that at every touchpoint. Our teams in Edinburgh do all they can to make dealing with us a pleasure. Our UK Contact Centre acts as a centre of customer service excellence, handling all customer queries and back office processes. Whilst our Customer Experience team manages any support interactions they might have. Projects see to it that the day-to-day service delivery team continues to function through the implementation of new products and services. And to protect our customers from credit card fraudsters we have our very own in house Fraud Team. Our attention to detail goes right through to the end, which is where MI and Billing team step up, working to enhance trainline’s data and reporting infrastructure, as well managing the corporate billing system.
Our People are essential to our success. That’s why HR does everything they can to attract, recruit and retain the very best. They also coordinate corporate social responsibility activity and work to reduce our carbon footprint. To keep everything running like clockwork, our Facilities Team are on the case – welcoming visitors, liaising with our suppliers and managing our facilities.
For all things Legal, our team makes sure our t’s are crossed and i’s dotted. Contract negotiation, law and regulatory compliance, government relations and public affairs are what they excel at.
Our teams make sure we look after the pennies so that we can pass on even greater savings to our customers and invest in sharper technology. Our Finance Team in London is the home of corporate development, commercial analysis, management accounting and accounts payable and receivable. Operations Finance in Edinburgh is our management accountant team for our Operations department. They manage financial control processes across all of our systems and procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting. They also detect and solve system and process issues, as well as interpret financial data to feed into our accounting and reporting systems.
