Role Overview

 

This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact upon the product development for a major online brand. This will be achieved by step changing our customer understanding through improved use of Web and Mobile Analytics, and establishing a Website Optimisation capability. The role forms part of a high performing team in a market leading and rapidly growing online business underpinned with a recently reengineered technology platform and significant marketing spend.

 

The Role

 

·         We are looking to hire an experienced Web Analyst to take ownership of our Web Analytics tools, customer data sourced from web analytics tools, customer research and customer feedback, and to establish an MVT and A|B testing capability.

·         The focus of the role will be to analyse online customer activity and to use this information to advise the commercial team on the product strategy moving forward. You will play a key role in shaping the future product direction within a business that recognises the importance of analytics and the insight this provides.

·         You will become the resident expert in and owner of Webtrends Web Analytics (particularly Webtrends and Google Analytics)

·         You will develop a real insight and understanding into what our customers are looking for and require

·         You will apply systematic best practice to web analytics, CRO and introduce & refine

·         MVT capabilities to maximise the value from our customers

·         You will support the team to optimise our transactional booking processes applying usability best practice and findings from web analytics / MVT

 

Knowledge & Experience

 

Essential

 

·         You will be able to define appropriate tagging, build reports and extract and manipulate data in order to produce actionable insights

·         Ability to distil and communicate results of complex analysis clearly and effectively by interacting with all end users - from senior management to development and technical staff

·         You will be familiar with the principles of MVT and A|B testing

·         You will be highly numerical and analytical

·         You will have strong proficiency in Excel (e.g. to create dashboards from data extracted from Webtrends; creating macros)

 

Desirable

 

·         You will have a track record with standard analytics reporting using Webtrends and

·         Google Analytics, analysing customer onsite behaviour (ideally across channels including mobile too), and conversion optimisation analysis in a B2C environment

·         Experience using Webtrends Segments and VDM tools

·         Experience in implementing Mobile Analytics, particularly with Webtrends and Google Analytics

·         Experience implementing an MVT and A|B testing capability, and in running a programme of tests in a B2C environment

·         Knowledge of verticals such as Travel and Retail

·         Project Management experience
